Terms of Service

What IsUp is
IsUp is a free tool that checks whether a website is reachable from our server. It provides HTTP status codes, response times, and related diagnostic information.
As-is
IsUp is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that the service will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
No guarantee of results
A result of “Up” means our server received a response. It does not guarantee the site works correctly for every visitor. A result of “Down” means our server could not connect; the site may still be reachable from other locations or networks.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use IsUp to send an excessive number of requests (automated flooding, denial-of-service).
- Attempt to bypass rate limiting or other protective measures.
- Use the service to probe, scan, or attack infrastructure you do not own or have permission to test.
- Use IsUp as a monitoring or uptime-alerting backend by scraping the results programmatically at scale.
We reserve the right to block or rate-limit requests at our discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IsUp and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of IsUp after changes constitutes acceptance.
